First published in 1978, this new edition of Vihares & Verandas Ceylon is hand bound and covered with the cloth made by artist Barbara Sansoni. The publication features drawings of 37 colonial architectures in Sri Lanka by Sansoni. Each drawing is accompanied by a brief text about the background of the architecture. Includes introduction and conclusion by Laki Senanayake, as well as the artist’s autobiographical notes.

This material was collected by the Sri Lanka Archive of Contemporary Art, Architecture & Design, and donated to Asia Art Archive as part of the programme ‘Mobile Library: Sri Lanka’ in 2013.
